Starring: Boots and a skirt. Get inspired!

Practical, comfortable, universal and incomparably stylish. These are the boots! These shoes fit almost anything. Contrary to appearances, when choosing an outfit, you do not have to limit yourself to jeans or leggings. The boots also perfectly match the skirt. We advise on what is worth paying attention to to look divine regardless of the occasion.

Do the boots match the skirt?

Many women wonder if ankle boots match the skirt. The answer is: Definitely yes! The skirt is not only reserved for high heels or elegant flat-soled shoes.

When the temperature outside is too high to put on boots, but already too low for walking in ballerinas, boots turn out to be a great choice. We advise on how to wear them every day and on holidays, and what mistakes should be avoided.

Casual ankle boots and skirt

Boots look divine in combination with a skirt, practically regardless of its length. In fall, you can wear a leather, pleated mini skirt, an oversized sweater in earth tones and nude suede ankle boots. Remember about a stylish belt to show off your wasp waist.

If you love breaking the mold, go for an airy midi skirt with a floral, girly pattern. Match it with a black lace top and heavy black leather ankle boots. Don't forget about the ramones jacket!

Casual suede boots in neutral colors are also a great choice. Choose the ones with a low heel and a rounded toe. Boots with bindings will also work great. Beige or brown will make your outfit look less festive.

Boots and a skirt for the holidays

Are you going on a romantic date, an important business meeting or an exciting dinner with your friends? If you value comfort and don't like to freeze, replace the classic high heels with extravagant boots with a pointed toe. Such styling will give you style and at the same time make it comfortable for you.

If you want to create a stylish outfit for a larger occasion, opt for leather ankle boots. Expressive colors, such as black, will work especially well. Wear them in combination with a chic pleated skirt or skirt made of leather. However, remember to choose the material of your boots in this combination. For a dark, shiny leather skirt, a good solution is to wear matte or suede ankle boots. On the other hand, light skirts will look good with shinier shoes.

Boots on the post with exposed fingers are also perfect for larger occasions. If you want to add a bit of color to your styling, opt for colorful shoes that will stand out against the background of a subdued skirt.

The most common mistakes

A skirt in combination with poorly chosen ankle boots can optically shorten the figure. If you are not the owner of the legs to heaven, it is worth sticking to a few rules.

First, avoid too much contrast between colors. A white midi skirt paired with black ankle boots causes the legs to be cut off abruptly, making you look less proportionate. To prevent this from happening, wear plain, toned skirts and color-matched ankle boots. Wear matching-colored shoes with a black long skirt and enjoy a consistent end result. Do you find this styling too balanced, making it boring? Break it with accessories! Choose a stylish belt, jewelry and hat that reflect your personality.

Secondly, make sure you don't focus on the widest part of your calves. If you want them to appear slim, go for ankle boots that end around your ankles or the thinnest part of your legs. You will see for yourself that the right length of boots can work wonders in this regard!

Thirdly, avoid disproportions. If a part of a leg is visible between the skirt and ankle boots, beige ankle boots will work especially well. However, avoid them while wearing black tights. In this situation, we recommend choosing a dark shade of shoes. If you want to create the impression of a taller person, opt for pointed ankle boots. This trick is great for petite women.

Also, make sure the boots are not lighter than the skirt. Such a color combination can make you look shorter, and additionally distort your body proportions. For this reason, choose boots that match the color of the skirt or a bit darker.

The combination of a black, tight skirt above the knee with black boots will look equally unfavorable. To balance the styling, opt for a skirt with a different structure, e.g. pleated, and replace black shoes with boots of a color similar to your skin tone.

Keep the proportions and hit the road

As you can see, the combination of ankle boots and a skirt definitely deserves attention. The key to success is to keep the right proportions and avoid joints that optically shorten the legs.

Choose the model that best suits the occasion and make sure the ankle boots are properly fitted around the ankle. Too tight can create unsightly folds of skin on the leg, and too loose can be uncomfortable to use. You can check the level of fit by sliding your toe between the ankle and the inside of the shoe.
