Sneakers with a suit – how to wear them without making a faux pas?
Sports shoes and a suit are the perfect pair, provided you know the rules of the game. We tell you what models of sneakers (minimalist, leather) are suitable for the office and how to combine them with elegant clothing to avoid mistakes.

Smart casual – a new definition of office elegance
Just a decade ago, combining a suit and sports shoes was considered a fashion faux pas. Today it is a standard in many offices and on the streets of the world's fashion capitals. The smart casual style blurred the lines between elegance and sport, allowing for greater freedom and comfort. However, to make this set look stylish and not sloppy, you need to follow a few key rules.
What shoes to choose? Minimalism is the key
Not every sneaker goes with a suit. Forget about bulky running shoes or worn-out sneakers from the gym. For elegant trousers, choose minimalist models with a slim silhouette (so-called low profile). The safest choice is white, leather sneakers without unnecessary logos and colorful inserts. Pure white adds freshness and goes perfectly with navy blue, gray and beige.
The length of pants matters
Another important issue is the length of the pants. The leg of a suit should not fall over the shoe and create unsightly folds (so-called accordions). The best match for sneakers is slim-fit trousers, slightly shorter, which end just above the upper or rest gently on it. If you are brave, you can slightly expose your ankle (wearing socks) - this will add lightness to the styling, especially in summer.
Colors and accessories – how to maintain balance?
If pure white is not enough for you, you can experiment with colors, but in moderation. Navy blue, brown or gray suede sneakers are a great alternative to grain leather. However, remember to keep the rest of the outfit consistent. If you decide to wear sports shoes, give up the tie in favor of an unbuttoned shirt, a turtleneck or a plain T-shirt under a jacket. The whole thing must be casual, but well-thought-out.
