Continuing the previous article, this time we will focus on preparing other fall boots for all rainy expeditions. In our wardrobe, we certainly have a wide variety of footwear that must be taken care of in the right way. Not every person also uses leather equivalents. Let's consider how to care for other shoes shortly before the season.

How are your shoes in?

This is a very important question. The actual condition of your shoes this fall depends on it. It is worth doing post-vacation cleanup and assessing which couples you definitely need to part with and which ones can still be left and used, for example for the warm half of September. Say goodbye to shoes that have holes and are damaged. This year's moisture can destroy them faster, and the wearer can catch a cold easily. Taking care of shoes is very important, especially for kids. They often come up with the idea of running in puddles after school, wearing different shoes than well-protecting wellies.

Check that the shoes are not dirty. If, unfortunately, you haven't cleaned them before winter, you should do it now - especially if they are shoes that need to be impregnated. Protect against dirt and moisture. Don't do it on dirt, this is how you will fix it.

How to clean and protect autumn shoes?

We have already mentioned leather shoes here. However, it is worth considering cleaning other types of footwear. It's about universal and ever-fashionable suede shoes. Suede hates moisture. These shoes must not be wiped with a wet cloth. It is worth doing it dry, with a soft brush dedicated to shoes. If we do not have it, we can choose to use a toothbrush of similar softness.

We are also increasingly choosing nubuck shoes. It is a vegan equivalent of leather shoes. It is rough but slightly softer than natural material. Nubuck also needs to be treated dry. That is, use a delicate brush that will remove dried dirt in the form of mud or salt. Thanks to this, the footwear will be in better condition. Finally - a must! - secure them with a special dedicated preparation, i.e. impregnation. You will be sure that your shoes will withstand the worst weather changes.
