A brief history of boots
The idea of shoes that hold the foot very tightly came from an injured doctor Klaus Märtens. The project, developed in 1945, quickly gained popularity among workers and uniformed services. How did boots, also known as martens, become an irreplaceable element of street fashion? Massive shoes appealed to representatives of subcultures in the 90s - skinheads, punks and metals. You could wear them to a concert without the risk of someone breaking your foot during the pogo. A solid sole with screws was useful during fights, and the high upper perfectly protected against rain and cold. Nearly 20 years had to pass for boots to stop being associated only with rebellious youth and to find a cozy place in women's wardrobes.
Boots - fashionable and comfortable
The boots enthusiasts agree - this is a fantastic, very durable and comfortable shoe. It is believed that they fit the image of a rebellious tomboy in a t-shirt, cargo pants and a leather jacket best. Fashion, however, gave the boots a green light and we can wear them in very feminine styles. In order not to make any mistakes, let's take a few rules to heart and remember them when we create our sets.
How to look feminine in boots?
Martens can be worn with trousers, skirts and dresses. For boots, choose tight skinny jeans, a white shirt and a Ramones jacket or matching crease trousers, wool turtleneck and a soft cardigan, and we'll definitely look great. If we like bolder stylizations and we like to play with fashion, martens are also suitable for shorts - let's combine them with long, thicker knee socks. Skirt lovers can wear combat boots with models made of corduroy, denim or leather. Valuable advice: the skirt should be fitted, it can be straight or a-shaped. We will create unique stylizations if we wear a soft knitted dress with our boots, preferably an oversize model. All gothic-style dresses with lace and textile decorations will also look great. Remember, however, that in this way we can be perceived as members of a specific subculture. Traditional combat boots are black, but we don't have to limit ourselves to this color! On the KeeShoes website you can find martens in various designs and colors. The more feminine the shade of shoes, the greater the chance that our entire styling will look light and feminine.
Which combinations to avoid - list of prohibited additives
A woman in boots it can look fashionable, sexy and pretty. There is a lot of fashion inspiration on the Internet, so it's easy to fall into a trap and brush against kitsch. What's wrong with boots? Avoid fishnet stockings and torn tights, unless you are creating a costume for a fancy dress party, in which case it also doesn't hurt to splash your clothes with artificial blood and use white powder. We should also leave long, flowing dresses in the wardrobe or put them on only when we go to a concert or a rock gathering. If we choose an outfit for a wedding and we are not fans of high heels, let's wear ballerinas or sandals. Boots and elegant cocktail dresses do not go hand in hand. We should also remember that Martens shoes are not sports or summer footwear, so for a romantic walk in the meadow, let's put on sneakers or sandals.
Boots are comfortable and durable shoes in which we can look beautiful and feminine. When creating a styling, remember a few simple rules and be sure to choose a unique pair of shoes in our favorite color.
