But since we are talking about shoes ...

Footwear has always fascinated and inspired. Not only that, as you can see in the example above. It can be added that the so-called flapper girls owe their name to their shoes. This is a characteristic sound made by the rain boots they wear. Old times, oh old ones, but the Flapper Girls theme can be seen in some of the new movies. Do you know any title?

Once upon a time, you didn't wear shoes!

We know what it sounds like! However, it is worth knowing something about the moment when people started to walk in shoes REGULARLY. It turns out that it was only after the war that the inhabitants of rural areas in Poland started to wear shoes, regardless of the season. Previously, shoes were only put on in the event of winter and frost. Alternatively, they were put on when entering the church. But not on the way - this one was still driven barefoot.

And what about this Marie Antoinette?

We don't know if you watched the movie "Marie Antoinette", which was a biography of this famous woman. However, it can be seen in the video that the queen had as many as 500 pairs of shoes for various occasions. Each pair was hand-made, with meticulous attention to detail to please Marie Antoinette. In addition, the maidservant took care of the shoes - taking care of the royal slippers was her only and most important task.

After all, who would have thought that only a few dozen years ago Polish citizens could walk without shoes or that rubber boots create a certain female image?
